EEP, Linden Lab®’s Environment Enhancement Project, is now available for Firestorm. While this update is optional, users' who decide to skip in upgrading their viewers, might be missing out on this new, fun feature. Although it has been available in Second Life®'s official viewer for many months, developers have been working in minimizing the existing bugs and glitches associated with EEP. With the Environment Enhancement Project, residents are able to customize the sun, moon and clouds, set different sky layers, and regulate day cycles. Overall, the feature provides personal customization of the surrounding environment and personal lighting.
In addition, Camera Presets is another new feature you will find with Firestorm's recent update - users can now create and save different viewing positions. Combat role-players and builders might find this ability extremely useful for their every day online activities.

Regions in the Cloud
The Cloud Uplift project is one of the top priorities for Linden Lab® and it has been the topic of discussion for many months. While the community closely follows all updates on SL's migration from the old servers to the cloud, developers are focused in finishing the project by the end of the year. Recently, the Blake Sea mainland regions were brought back online on the Lab's test grid server Aditi. The preview grid is used to test new features and fix bugs, prior to the release on Second Life's main grid.
