The Bakes on Mesh Project finally took off while I was on vacation. I didn’t had the chance to play with the viewer yet but I have been reading about it - looks like residents are excited for this new feature and let’s face it, when it comes to appliers, it will make our life MUCH easier. Strawberry Singh/Linden published a very informative video on Bakes on Mesh which I strongly suggest to all SL residents to watch it. This new project will definitely change the cosmetics industry in Second Life since appliers will become obsolete. New products will be released in the upcoming months and viewers, including Firestorm, are being updated to support this capability.
Last night, I picked up a few gifts at the Essences store and it felt like I went back in time. I have fond memories from this store, and I used to be an Essences “hoarder” for the longest time, right before the first mesh heads and mesh bodies were released. I wore Essences skins for years and back then, it was the best-looking skin store you could find in Second Life. Once the mesh took over the industry, I eventually moved on to try new products and Essences fell in the background. Needless to say, my Essences inventory folder is quite long and one more item was added when I tried on the Sibyl skin yesterday – I forgot how beautiful and detailed Essences’ skins are.
