“Westworld” is returning to HBO, Sunday, March 15, but reviews on the first four episodes of the new season are already populating across the web. Season 3 will bring new characters, more technology, more action and plenty of mystery to this unsettling tech-driven thriller. The world of robot cowboys is long gone – the series picks up a few months after the massacre at Westworld, in a futuristic vision of angry hyper-intelligent androids. Sad to hear that critics don’t appear to be impressed and it shows in their personal reviews: “...far from being great…” or “…hard to root for a character who’s forced to read hokey lines…” is not exactly what you want to hear about one of your favorite shows. But let’s face it, sometimes critics can be too harsh and I am definitely willing to give a try; I would like to think that not everything is lost after season 2. If you are a fan of “Westworld” you will recognize the photos below – yes, these are inspired in the promotional posters for the new season. Far from being the good-looking “Dolores”, my droid tries to survive in a violent dystopia where war is imminent – perhaps that is where season 3 is leading us to?
As I scrambled for realistic droid parts to build this character, only two stores were narrowed down on my final list of favorites for the most extensive collection and quality of their products: AZOURY and Tentacio. If you want to try to dress your droid bits and accessorize it with all kinds of masks and weapons, The Forge and EZ Weaponry should be your store of choice. Feel free to comment below your favorite store for droid parts and accessories – I would love to explore it!
