"Preparations are under way for one of the biggest spring festivals, the Floralia. Marked by feasting, dancing, and a small market known for their silks, it is a time of joy for kings, nobles, merchants and peasants. We know how to throw a party in Portugalliae – during this time of the year, you see children wearing masks and walking through the streets, merchants prepare their stalls to sell the finest silks and spices, and all peasants work together to formulate the best biggest feast of the Middle Ages. Maidens of the noble houses will work on decorating the streets and the inside of the dining hall with lush greenery and bright colors. We, peasants, are extremely excited – we will see the finest court entertainment. This year, dancing mummers and trained animals from a distant kingdom will make a special appearance. We will finally have the chance to pause and cherish family and friends. We also pray to our Gods for the next harvest season; there will be a lot of work to do and we must count our blessings. Floralia is almost here. Let us drink, eat and live life while we can."
As promised, my second post featuring role-play furnishings is here and right on time before the event closes; Saturday, Feb. 29 will be the last day to purchase discounted goods. I have more of [Tia]’s designs and a beautiful stronghold to live-up your best medieval fantasy, but that is not all. The long list of credits discloses a number of merchandise that perfectly complemented this scene: a day on the preparations for the Floralia Festival.
