Panther Ridge

Back in 2009, the center of GE was the old Northern (Siba – Midgaard) Continent. Some of you will remember it but younger players in gor did not had a chance to experience the on-going roleplay and combat of this continent that consistent in 5 connected regions. At one point, if memory serves me correctly, there was 7 sims in this continent. Here many groups were born and lasted years including the Kalana Woods Outlaws. Sadly, the Kalana Outlaws closed doors a few weeks ago. The experience of playing in this continent was the most fun I had and the evenings would be gone in a blink of an eye. The role-play was consistent and because of the number of groups that lived together in the continent, the storylines would flow and grow into something more exciting. Yes, the role-play was great but the combat not so much. The amount of residents and visitors/raiders would create massive amounts of lag that could be felt across the continent however, this aspect has improved over the years. 

Aria, a new continent in the GE realm, is trying to bring that role-play experience back in gor. The continent will host several different groups with an improved GE raiding concept that will require more role-play from the players. Alliances should be formed by proper role-play, the combat force should be exclusive to mercenaries that shall be hired to rescue a captive or play out a specific story line, and cities will be the economic focus of the region. If you are looking for role-play and a taste of the good ol’ days, give Aria a try. This project sounds very promising. 

Another sim that was part of the old Northern Continent was the Panther Ridge. This sim was a “mother” to raid but it was a lot of fun to pew-pew in because of the challenging landscape. Today, Tharna Woods' plans to bring it back and is looking for a panther girls or a GE raiders group to live in the region.
