VP of Engineering Oz Linden to leave Linden Lab® at the End of February
Vice President of Engineering Oz Linden announced on Tuesday his departure from Linden Lab®. His last day with the company will be Friday, Feb. 26.
Scott Lawrence (aka Oz Linden in Second Life® ), who joined Linden Lab® in 2010 as the director of Open Development, states in his farewell post: “it's time for me to move on to the next phase of my life.” Mr. Lawrence reflected on his years as a Linden and how joining the Lab was “one of the best career decisions.” In addition, Mr. Lawrence points out that his decision “has nothing at all to do with the change in ownership of the Lab; the timing really is a coincidence.”
In the upcoming episode of Lab Gab scheduled to air Friday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. PT/ 2 p.m. EST, Oz will make a last appearance as an employee of Linden Lab®. Residents are invited to submit questions using this form.
No successor has been announced.
