🌹 Mother Nature 🌹

Today is National Rose Day and Rose is also the birth flower for the month of June. To celebrate the "Queen of Flowers," it was only right to adorn Mother Nature with roses and other accessories that scream out my love for nature. As an amateur photographer, my lens always gravitates towards nature, landscapes and the most beautiful flowers and animals I can find - this little hobby of mine is also present in Second Life® as I continue to visit the most beautiful regions on the grid and use them as backgrounds in 99% of my blog photos, always sharing these locations with you. But today's post was an exception and I snapped this photo right in my backyard. All I needed for Mother Nature was this fantastic photo prop and the accessories you can see in the photo and credits below. It turned out better than expected.

There are many legends associated with roses. In Greek mythology, it is said that rose bushes grew from the ground through Aphrodite's tears and the blood of her lover, Adonis. Decades later, the Romans, who turned Aphrodite into their goddess Venus, kept the rose as her symbol of passion and desire, but it was also a symbol of death and rebirth as they often planted roses on graves. In Christianity, red roses represent the blood shed by the martyrs who died for their faith.

The rose also became the symbol of the civil wars that took place in the 15th century in England. The House of Lancaster took the symbol of a red rose, while the House of York chose a white rose. Many years later, the two roses were combined into one symbol. The Tudor Rose became the Rose of England, which continues to be one of the most identifiable symbols in the United Kingdom.

Today, this beautiful and radiant flower continues to be a symbol of love and romance, offering divine and unique scents.
