We are three months into the year and Second Life® has been a "busy bee" with events, professional conferences, fairs and a number of activities to accommodate and welcome new users in the age of the COVID-19 pandemic. Museums, art galleries, non-profits and music are also a focus — artists and support groups are often promoted on social media platforms and the Second Life® Destination Guide. The almost 18-year-old virtual world is vibrant and growing, but more is coming for 2021.

Second Life® birthday celebrations are with no doubt a resident’s favorite. Weeks of live music, performances and shopping always seems to bring the community together to celebrate another year of Second Life. For the 18th birthday, the chosen theme is Hidden Worlds — is it me or the logo is giving me a fantasy vibe? I personally love it!

Fantasy Faire 2021
Fantasy Fair, the largest fantasy-themed charity event in Second Life, will open Thursday, April 22, to celebrate our whimsical virtual community with the best designers, role-players, performers and fun activities for its guests. The 18-day-long magical journey will feature breathtaking regions and top-notch fantasy merchandise. Open to all residents, role-players and non-role-players, the Fantasy Faire also celebrates 13 successful years of supporting the American Cancer Society.
